crowneplaza.jpg

Irelands only 24hr Motorcycle Rally  requires competitors to visit various locations throughout Ireland in order to collect points. It is impossible to visit all the locations.

The IBAIreland  24hr Bally Rally will commence on Saturday 12th June 2010. The pre-rally process will begin on the previous evening (11th).
The rally HQ will be  be based at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin. We have negotiated a special  rate of €69 room only or €79 including breakfast. Visit the hotel website. to gaze upon the luxury.

The rally base is within easy reach of Larne, Dublin and Rosslare Ferry Terminals. Any UK riders who decide to enter this event will easily be able to leave home Friday Morning and be home Sunday evening

Use the Google map to see the Hotel location:

2010 Rally Format:

Never let things go stale !  That's the thinking behind this years event. In order to keep things fresh and to make riders work their brains as well as their Butts this years event will have a few twists thrown in for good measure. This is going to be the thinking riders event. In order to maximise your thinking time, I am going to be particularly generous.

This years bonus locations  will be issued 1 MONTH before the event along with a working google map....How generous is that. This will enable you to load the destinations into your GPS or mark them on a map. But there's a catch. There always is. I will withhold a few tasty morsels until the meeting the night before (along with all the points values). You will encounter the following types of bonuses..
Combo, Siamese ,courier, accelerator, blind and revealing. Don't worry all will become clear.

Because full details of the bonuses and a link to a google map are being released 1 month before the 2010 event, it would be perfectly possible to ride the 2010 rally without a GPS !! However, you would be advised to make notes on the location of each bonus as no turn by turn instructions are given in the bonus book, only a brief description and GPS Co-ords.
