 The Isle of Man TT 1000 will only be available to current
IBA Members and a special verification process will be in place for this event. Riders will have to complete a total
of 27 laps of the island course . Due to the nature of this ride, strict controls will be in place. You will not be able to
do this ride at a time of your choosing. A specific date will be chosen and Verification staff will attend the event. Fuel
will be available to riders from event staff during the night. Safety will be a priority and riders must attend a pre
- event safety briefing. Riding safe, consistant laps is the only way this event can be completed. Reckless riding
will not be tolerated and the course is very unforgiving. Mike Kneebone, President IBA USA, has given IBA
Ireland approval to hold this unique certification event.
There will be a TT1000 Gold Certificate and a TT1000
Certificate each subject to a defined time limit. This IBA Certificate ride will be the toughest IBA ride anywhere in the
UK or Ireland. Guaranteed !
If you are a current IBA member and are interested in attempting this unique IBA Ride,
please drop me an email - chris@ibaireland.org This event is strictly limited to 20 riders. In the event it is over-subscribed, a draw will take
place. There will be a small charge to participate in the ride attempt, in order to cover costs of 2 volunteer staff and, if
a rider is successful, normal IBA certificate charges will apply. It is also hoped to produce special commemorative
plaques.
Please note: Due to the planning and logistics of this event,
it is proposed,at this stage, that it be held next april/may 2011. This event will not be held again for a number of
years. Firm details of event will be emailed later this year to those riders who indicate an interest
